The Master's in Biosciences and Health trains resources for higher education and related areas, focusing on advanced studies and innovation to tackle health challenges such as chronic and neurodegenerative diseases, with national and international impact.
combining basic knowledge of human biology and its relationship with the environment and health.
Line 1: Biosciences in the health-disease process
This line of research investigates the biological factors that influence the health/disease process. The interface between environmental and human health is approached in an interdisciplinary way, with research related to neurosciences, oncology and toxicology, providing subsidies for understanding biological and pathophysiological mechanisms, including the analysis of biomarkers with diagnostic potential.
Line 2: Health diagnosis, promotion and management
This line carries out interdisciplinary studies for diagnosis, intervention, promotion and management at the different levels of care and life cycles, taking into account the biopsychosocial determinants and conditioning factors of the health of individuals and the population.
Groups divided into 3 areas of study:
The master's degree is a solid integration of theory and practice, providing an ideal environment for
development of new ideas and innovations, with up-to-date and specialized subjects in the chosen field of study.
